Thing # 3

It's now time to set up your blog and create an avatar. Remember to check http://classroomlearning2.blogspot.com/2007/08/3-week-2-create-your-own-blog-avatar.html for details. You can use any blogging program that works for you. CTAP2.0 suggests using Blogger, Wordpress, Edublog, or Typepad. Once you set up your blog, do a sample post. You can talk about Lifelong Learning or anything else that you would like. Then email me with the link to your blog.

Next, it's time to create an avatar.


An avatar is just a representation of yourself that you will put on your blog. CTAP suggests using the avatar maker at http://avatars.yahoo.com/. This is a site that you will have to access as home, however. The example avatar above is one I created using Portrait Illustration Maker http://illustmaker.abi-station.com/index_en.shtml. You can access this at school, it does not require any downloads, it is easy to use and easy to save. I really like http://www.voki.com/, but the last 2 days I have been having trouble accessing this at school.
